Laboratory

LGEF is a laboratory with recognized expertise in the field of electroactive materials (ceramics, single crystals, polymer composites, electroactive inks) and in the use of their coupled properties (electromechanical, magnetoelectric, electrocaloric, elastocaloric, etc.) to develop easily integrable actuators and energy-autonomous sensors, thanks to their ability to be self-powered using surrounding thermal and vibrational energy sources. To this end, the laboratory develops its own characterization test benches for coupled properties as well as demonstrators.

From materials to systems

All-organic polymer formulations or formulations incorporating conductive or piezoelectric micro- or nanoparticles.

Powder processing and shaping: pressing and sintering of powder mixtures, screen printing deposition, spin coating, and inkjet printing.

Measurement of physico-chemical, electrical, mechanical, and coupled properties; development of dedicated experimental setups.

Electroactive systems and self-powered devices – Prototyping.

Design and fabrication of actuators, sensors, and micro-generators.
